Too little

Evan is so fascinated with how boys can pee standing up. When daddy got home from work yesterday Evan followed him into bathroom. After spending some guy time in there Evan came running to me crying. I asked him what was wrong. He said "my pee pee is too little". I couldn't stop laughing. Poor guy.

Wii

Do you ever have days when your kids have more energy in that moment than you have patience for? Yeah, well it was one of those nights. You know, the one where they've eaten, bathed, and daddy still isn't home from work to pawn them off on so you can dig into your chocolate stash. What is my saving grace to get the wiggles out before story and bed time? High School Musical Dance Along Wii game. And bonus: I don't have to play with them! Dance away monkeys!!
He is just too cute for words, sometimes.
Apparently Makayla finds "digging for gold" more entertaining than the game. Classy.
She isn't the most coordinated kid either.

Twins?

Yes, they wear the same size in clothes and shoes and even weight the same but do they really look like twins? It seems everywhere we go these days that is what the general public thinks. I especially love the "You're having ANOTHER ONE after twins?!" Please feel free to jump off a cliff, random stranger!

I don't think they look like twins. Just two pretty cute siblings.

Gotta teach them early

I don't like vacuuming. Maybe it is because I'm 38 weeks pregnant, or because I hate pushing around a 26 pound vacuum or maybe it is because I am completely lazy these days. Enter my awesome Leah who is usually very happy to tackle this task. Now if only I could teach her how to mop, and make dinner, and grocery shop. Hmmm...

Bah

I really have been meaning to update this thing, really, but I would rather sit and eat something chocolate instead. So here is a super mini recap on our daily life. We moved to Queen Creek in May. Not my first choice but it has been a blessing to our family. My kids have had summer fever and the awful teenage "I'm bored" syndrome since moving. About 6 o'clock every night you will find them just like this waiting for daddy to come home.I thought I'd throw in a pregnancy pic. I'm 30 weeks here (36 weeks currently). Can you say moo? My poor kids are having a hard time trying to hug me and even my dear sweet Craig has ran into the bump once or twice with a shopping cart while grocery shopping. I don't know whether to laugh or cry when he says "I'm sorry but maybe you should try sucking it in". Gotta love that guy.
This kid is gonna be the death of me! She is the queen of the "I'm bored" or "This sucks" attitude. I've done literally every craft I could think of to entertain her. This is the usual face I get when she finishes too quickly. Good thing school starts tomorrow. WOO HOO!
Ah, Craig. He loves his job. Can't you tell? If only that money could just appear on my door step, no questions asked.
I'll do a real update when I can get my camera to work. Right now my camera is as hormonal as I am. Did I mention school starts TOMORROW?!?!

"Why would you stick your head in the toilet"

"Why would you stick your head in the toilet and wonder why your head gets wet?"

My kids are accident prone. Why? Because my husband is accident prone. He cannot go a single week without injuring himself in some way. Well, while at the doctor today my dear, sweet husband was showing off his finger he can no longer bend all the way, amongst many other things. The doctor turns to him and says maybe you should take a break from playing basketball. In complete shock Craig asks "why would I stop playing basketball?". The doctor's reply: "Why would you stick your head in the toilet and wonder why your head gets wet? You hurt youself every time you play and then always question why you're hurt. Take a break. Doctor's orders."

I guess he hasn't learned his lesson yet. He is off playing basketball right now.

At least his aim is getting better.

My little "helper"

This is what Makayla's room looks like after she has "cleaned" it, or so she says. She has so many storage buckets and toy bins yet is physically incapable of picking up a single toy on her own. Any suggestions?

The Bully Fairy did it

My poor Leah can't get a break. I guess that's what happens when you are accident prone. I was in my closet at the time attempting to unpack something and she came in red in the face crying and my first instinct was what did Evan do? I couldn't understand her because she was so hysterical. About 6 hours later she told me what happened. She was trying to jump onto a bar stool but missed and wacked her face on the counter. Crazy kid.
This is what she looked like this morning:

I told her to tell people, if they ask, she got into an awesome fight. She said no, the Bully Fairy gave it to me.

"Like on tv?"

At bed time I told my girls to get a good night sleep because after moving tomorrow we were going to need a lot of energy to go mega shopping. Leah turns to me and says "Mommy, are we going coupon shopping like on tv? That would be awesome!". Oh how I love that girl!

Toothless

Leah FINALLY lost her first tooth. That thing has been loose for almost 6 weeks and barely hanging on for dear life for 4 of those weeks. She didn't lose it in an amazing fashion. It didn't fall out while eating an apple nor did she lose it while in some awesome fight. Nope, Craig pulled it out. We both got so dang grossed out that the tooth would point at us when she smiled that right before bed with one quick yank it popped right out.

She was quite sad that there wasn't more blood because she knows the tooth fairy pays more for pain and suffering. But she happily put her tooth under her pillow and prayed that the tooth fairy could fly safe tonight to get her tooth. This morning she came running into our room yelling "The Tooth Fairy came! The Tooth Fairy came!".

After she showed us her bounty she went back into her room and wispered to herself "The Tooth Fairy IS real...I knew it!".

When a mom hears "I'm bored" one too many times

You got it folks. She is cleaning my baseboards. Yes, I like to torture my poor children with manual labor. It's my right as a mom! My kids are suffering with the fact that we are moving in 6 days and the majority of their toys are packed away but they have full control of the tv. So how tortured could they really be?

What a man

Yep. That's a tutu. Like I said...
what a "man".

Love/Hate

I LOVE waking up to the sound of rain but I HATE that I woke up because my darling Makayla was sitting in her bed saying "mom" over and over and o v e r again at 6 am on a Saturday.

On a happy note we are house hunting today! I'm so excited and so tired of this rental we are in. Wish us luck!

This Stud Muffin turned 2

I can't believe he is two already. He is a tornado in toddler form but still quite lovable. I decided to do absolutely nothing for him. It was either because I'm the world's best mother or because I am too tired from cooking this bun in my oven. So off to Peter Pipper Pizza we went.

Getting in the car. He loves his Leah.

His bum was glued to the carousel the entire time. He loved it.

He was so excited about his new truck he insisted on riding it before we could take it out of the box.

I did manage to make cupcakes. However the singing of Happy Birthday didn't go very well. Everytime I would light his candle to start singing he blew it out as quickly as he could. The kids thought it was hilarious, I got quite irritated but oh well.

And we ended the day with a round of basketball on his new basketball hoop. He us such a cheater but a cute one at that.

Happy Birthday big guy!!!

When Evan is awake someone is going to get hurt

My poor Leah. Evan threw his sippy cup at her head and this bump appeared in the 5 seconds it took to get her some ice.

3 reasons why I'm going gray

Reason 1:

Leah. She is my teenager stuck in a six year olds body. He highlights include always saying I'm bored, being stuck to my hip begging to go to the park or shopping or back to Albuquerque, and constantly wiggling her first loose tooth.

Reason 2:

Makayla, the Diva. I was never a yeller until she came along. Her highlights include screaming, crying, hitting her brother for everything and anything, refusal to listen to anyone and being an all around Diva.

Reason 3:

Evan. He is all go all the time. He is that kid. You know, the one that if you're not watching him every second of every day then he is breaking something. His highlights include beating back on his sister when she hits him, pulling the cats tail, refusing to go potty in the toilet when I want him to, and recently breaking my mother-in-laws kitchen window trying to get outside.

This is the first day that we've been home for spring break. I've heard nothing but screaming, slapping, and crying ALL DAY! 13 more days until Leah goes back to school. 13 more days...

That's dewicious!

When I'm watching:

When I turn my back:

Yep. That's the same kid with the same cupcake. He kept saying "mommy that's dewicious" but it was hard to understand while he was stuffing his face. I'd compare him to a pig but that would be insulting the pig.

He cracks me up

At least I know he has a future as a plumber.

Sew...

We are blanket people. I don't know what it is about snuggling under a comfy blanket it just makes us happy. Even my kids have to have their blankets to sleep at night. Well Leah is 6 and a half now (as she says) and she has finally outgrown her baby blanket. I'm impressed that it has made it this long. I've braved an outing to JoAnns with all three kids in tow and the hour and a half search for the perfect fabric (note to self: never let your child pick out their own fabric ever again! It's like pulling teeth). She has picked the design now all that's left is the actual sewing. I wonder how long it's going to take me to actually sew this thing. Wish me luck!

The joys of Joy School

I must admit I really enjoy Joy School. I tell my husband I do it for the kids but I sometimes have more fun than they do. Today was my day to teach and we worked on the letter P. We played Pick the Pair, which is my version of Memory but using only pictures of things that started with the letter P. Then we played Princess and Pirates. Evan had a lot of fun trying to capture the princesses. After all the princesses were saved we sat down and read this book:

By the time I was done reading the book I had all of the kids sitting on top of me. To finish the activities we painted with our pinkies. Fun I know. It was messy but the kids had a blast! And to top the day off for snacks we had pretzels, popcorn, peaches and a big bowl of this:

Yummy pudding! What a good day!

I'm full of excuses. Well, full of fries at least

As I'm making lunch for my younger two I find that nothing looks good enough to eat. Being that I'm pregnant, again, my wonderful husband reminds me constantly that I need to eat healthy. Not like I need the reminder. Besides, this baby hates everything! No Dr. Pepper (my life source), or chicken or broccoli or chocolate. My list can go on and on. Well I spy in my freezer a bag of sweet potato fries. Yum. I figure since I'm 9 weeks and have lost 7 pounds I need the extra calories. So as my kids eat their pb&j, I devour a plate of fries, not sharing (of course) because there just isn't enough or so I told them. And if I did share their tummies would turn orange.

Do you think they believed me?
